Dr. Daniel Yeo is a cardiologist practising at Gleneagles Hospital, Singapore. He specialises in echocardiography (ultrasound test that creates images of the heart), treatment of heart failure and other cardiac diseases.
He completed his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery at the University of Western Australia in 1999. After his training in internal medicine, he became a member of the Royal College of Physicians in the United Kingdom in 2004. He then received advanced specialty training in cardiology in 2007 and was elected a fellow of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore in 2008.
Thereafter, he was awarded a scholarship by the Ministry of Health, Singapore to complete a yearlong fellowship in heart failure and cardiac transplantation at the Cleveland Clinic in Ohio, USA in 2009. In 2012, he obtained a diploma for the Examination of Special Competence in Adult Echocardiography (ASCeXAM) from the National Board of Echocardiology, USA. He was subsequently elected a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh, UK in 2011 and fellow of the American College of Cardiology in 2013.
He formerly led the heart failure service at the Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH) from 2008 – 2014. He was also the director of the heart failure disease management programme at the National Healthcare Group from 2011 – 2014. Aside from clinical work, he is currently a clinical senior lecturer at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, NUS.
